Integrating Acoustic

Capabilities

DataGrail's Acoustic integration provides the following capabilities:

Before You Start

To successfully configure this integration, please ensure you have sufficient privileges:

  • DataGrail User Role: Super Admin, Connections Manager
  • Acoustic User Role: Org Admin

Get Acoustic API Credentials

  1. Log in to Acoustic as an Org Admin user within your Campaign Automation organization.
  2. Navigate to Organization Settings.
  3. Select to expand Application Account Access.
  4. Select Add Application.
  5. Enter a Name and Description that will easily identify which application is connecting to your data in Campaign. Select the Add button.
  6. Copy your Client ID and Client Secret, and store them in a secure, temporary location.
  7. Select Add Account Access.
  8. Choose an Application and a User Account from the dropdown, and select Add. After the token is created, it is emailed to the user who created the User Application access request, and to the Principle Org admin.
  9. Check your email inbox to find an email with the subject "User account refresh token has been issued". Copy your Refresh Token, and store it in a secure, temporary location.
  10. Navigate to the account Settings.
  11. Find your POD.
  12. Navigate to Databases and select a database.
  13. Select Show Additional Details, and copy your Database ID.

Connect to DataGrail

  1. In DataGrail, navigate to Integrations and select Configure New Integration to search for Acoustic.

  2. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, Refresh Token, and Database ID.

  3. Select your POD.

  4. Select your desired Asynchronous Deletion Behavior.

    Mark integration as complete when a deletion request is successfully submitted: The Acoustic Integration will be marked as "complete" as soon as the deletion request is submitted to Acoustic.

    Continue processing until the deletion request is completed (default behavior): The Acoustic Integration will show a "processing" status until the Acoustic deletion is complete.

  5. Select Configure Integration.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to successfully connect the integration, review these common troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Required Permissions Are Granted on API Keys/Resources

DataGrail checks required permissions and scopes on API keys/resources used by each integration. If all necessary permissions are not granted, new connections will fail.

Review Required Account Types and User Roles

If users do not have the necessary permissions or the minimum required user role in the connecting system, the connection to DataGrail will fail. Additionally, connections will fail if your account type does not match the one required by the integration.

The Acoustic integration uses the GDPR API:

- 125,000 request / day
