Integrating Contentful

Capabilities​

DataGrail's Contentful integration provides the following capabilities:

Before You Start​

To successfully configure this integration, please ensure you have sufficient privileges:

  • DataGrail User Role: Super Admin, Connections Manager
  • Contentful User Role: Admin

Get Contentful Credentials​

  1. Log in to Contentful.
  2. In the top navigation bar under Settings, select Environments.
  3. Copy the name of the Environment (not the alias). If no environments exist, add one by selecting Add Environment in the right panel.
  4. In the top navigation bar under Settings, select API Keys.
  5. In the right panel, select Add API Key.
  6. Select the environments that should be accessed by this API key.
  7. Copy the Space ID and Content Delivery API - access token. Store them in a secure, temporary location.

Connect to DataGrail​

  1. In DataGrail, navigate to Integrations and select Configure New Integration to search for Contentful.
  2. Enter the Space ID, Environment and Content Delivery API - access token.
  3. Select Configure Integration.

Troubleshooting​

If you are unable to successfully connect the integration, review these common troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Required Permissions Are Granted on API Keys/Resources

DataGrail checks required permissions and scopes on API keys/resources used by each integration. If all necessary permissions are not granted, new connections will fail.

Review Required Account Types and User Roles

If users do not have the necessary permissions or the minimum required user role in the connecting system, the connection to DataGrail will fail. Additionally, connections will fail if your account type does not match the one required by the integration.
