Integrating Encircle

DataGrail’s Encircle Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in Encircle for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in Encircle for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

**Note: if you do not have admin rights in Encircle you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your Encircle Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Create an Encircle API Key​

  1. Log in to Encircle

  2. On the bottom left corner, click Settings

  3. Next click on the Bots (Public API) option

  4. Click the Create Bot button in the top right

  5. Next, click + Create Bot Session within the new bot

  6. Copy the newly created key (shown as api_key_here, above) temporarily in a secure location

Step 2: Connect Encircle​

  1. Return to DataGrail (window should be open in separate tab)

  2. Enter the API Key obtained from Step 1

  3. Click Connect Encircle
