Integrating Freshteam

DataGrail’s Freshteam Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in Freshteam for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in Freshteam for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

**Note: if you do not have admin rights in Freshteam you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your Freshteam Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Get Freshteam Domain and API Key

  1. Log in to your Freshteam Dashboard as admin.

  2. Get your Domain from the browser URL, e.g., datagrailstaging

  3. Go to the API Key through Profile menu on the left user icon.

  4. Copy the API Key temporarily in a secure location

Step 2: Connect Freshteam

  1. Return to DataGrail (window should be open in a separate tab).

  2. Click Connect within the Integration page for Freshteam.

  3. Enter the Domain and API Key obtained from Step 1.

  4. Optionally, select Outbound Deletion to configure deletion through the outbound process.

    1. Add Processor Email. This is the email that will receive the privacy request.
    2. Optionally, add additional information to help the processor validate the privacy request:
      1. Account ID: your Account ID in the system
      2. Account Name: your Account Name in the system
      3. Notes: any notes that you'd like to send to the processor regarding the privacy request.
  5. Click Connect Freshteam.

  6. If there are additional Freshteam accounts to integrate follow these instructions:

  7. Click Edit Connection within the Integration page for Freshteam.

  8. From the drop-down, select +Add New Connection.

  9. Under Connection Name, enter a new name to identify this separate account [ex: Freshteam Training Account].

  10. Repeat Step 1 to copy Domain and API Key for this new account.

  11. Enter the Domain and API Key.

  12. Click Connect.

  1. In DataGrail, if you have any other integrations not connected (no green check mark) please click Connect to complete the configuration and reference the Help Docs link for instructions
