DataGrail's Mailchimp integration provides the following capabilities:

Before You Start
To successfully configure this integration, please ensure you have sufficient privileges:
- DataGrail User Role: Super Admin, Connections Manager
- Mailchimp User Role: Admin
Locate Mailchimp Data Center
- Log in to Mailchimp.
- Locate the Data Center for your Mailchimp account:
Data Center Locations
The Data Center can be found in two locations:

In the URL of your browser preceding
.admin.mailchimp.comFor example, if the address is
https://us4.admin.mailchimp.com, the data center isus4 -
Navigate to Account → Extras → API Keys. The ID is at the end of the API Key after the hyphen.
For example, if the key is
01234abcde01234abcde01234abcde0-us4, the data center isus4
Connect to DataGrail
- In DataGrail, navigate to Integrations and select Configure New Integration to search for Mailchimp.
- Enter the Data Center ID obtained above.
- Select Login to Configure.
- Enter your Mailchimp Login Credentials and select Log In.

Troubleshooting
If you are unable to successfully connect the integration, review these common troubleshooting steps:
Ensure Required Permissions Are Granted on API Keys/Resources
DataGrail checks required permissions and scopes on API keys/resources used by each integration. If all necessary permissions are not granted, new connections will fail.
Review Required Account Types and User Roles
If users do not have the necessary permissions or the minimum required user role in the connecting system, the connection to DataGrail will fail. Additionally, connections will fail if your account type does not match the one required by the integration.
