Integrating Mimecast

DataGrail’s Mimecast Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

• Identify Data Subject PII stored in Mimecast for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

If you do not have admin rights in Mimecast you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your Mimecast Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Get Mimecast API Credentials

1. Log in to your Mimecast account.

2. Go to Administration > Services > API and Platform Integration.

3. Select Your Application Integrations bookmark and click on the Add API Application button.

4. Fill application details and click on the Next button.

5. Fill your trusted contact details and click on the Next button.

6. Review your application details and click on the Add button.

7. Click on the Application ID of the new application.

8. Copy your Application ID and Application Key.

9. Click on the Create Keys button.

10. Enter your account email address and click on the Next button.

11. Enter your account password and click on the Next button.

12. Enter verification code and click on the Next button.

13. Copy your application Access Key and Secret Key.

Step 2: Connect Mimecast

1. Return to DataGrail

2. Click Connect within the Integration page for Mimecast.

3. Enter Application ID, Application Key, Access Key and Secret Key obtained from Step 1.

4. Select preferable Region.

5. Optionally, select Outbound Deletion to configure deletion through the outbound process.

   1. Add Processor Email. This is the email that will receive the privacy request.
   2. Optionally, add additional information to help the processor validate the privacy request:
      1. Account ID: your Account ID in the system
      2. Account Name: your Account Name in the system
      3. Notes: any notes that you'd like to send to the processor regarding the privacy request.

6. Click Connect
