Integrating Nexmo

DataGrail’s Nexmo Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in Nexmo for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in Nexmo for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

**Note: if you do not have admin rights in Nexmo you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your Nexmo Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Gather Nexmo Secrets​

  1. Log in to the Nexmo Dashboard.

  2. On the left side bar under you account name, click Settings

  3. Navigate to the API Keys tab and copy the API Secret

  4. On the left side bar click Your Applications and click +Create a New Application

  5. Name the application DataGrail

  6. Copy the Application ID and API Key

  7. Under Authentication, click Generate public and private key - this will generate Public Key* and trigger a ONE time download of the Private Key (save as a .txt file). Please save this in a safe place.

  1. Copy the Private Key from the .txt file

Step 2: Connect Nexmo​

  1. Return to DataGrail (window should be open in separate tab)

  2. Enter the secrets obtained in Step 1

  3. Click Connect Nexmo

  4. If there are additional apps to integrate follow these instructions:

  5. Click Edit Connection within the Integration page for Nexmo

  6. From the drop-down, select +Add New Connection

  7. And follow the steps above.
