Integrating PowerReviews

Capabilities

DataGrail's PowerReviews integration provides the following capabilities:

Before You Start

To successfully configure this integration, please ensure you have sufficient privileges:

  • DataGrail User Role: Super Admin, Connections Manager
  • PowerReviews User Role: Admin

Get API Credentials

  1. Log in to your PowerReviews account.
  2. In the left menu, select ACCOUNT and then API.
  3. Select Create New API Credentials.
  4. Configure the new API credentials:

  • Client name: DataGrail
  • Access Level: Read and Write
  1. Select Generate. You should see a modal appear with an option to download the file containing your credentials.
  2. Download the Client ID and Client Secret.
note

For security reasons, you can only generate the file with your API credentials during the creation process. If you lose them, you’ll need to generate new credentials.

Connect to DataGrail

  1. Navigate back to DataGrail.
  2. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret created during Get API Credentials.
  3. Configure the Deletion Options:

  • Delete: This option will request deletion of personal data associated with an email address.
  • Anonymize: This option will request that personal data associated with an email address be anonymized.
  1. Select your desired Asynchronous Deletion Behavior.
PowerReviews Deletion Behavior Configuration

Mark integration as complete when a deletion request is successfully submitted: The PowerReviews Integration will be marked as "complete" as soon as the deletion request is submitted to PowerReviews.

Continue processing until the deletion request is completed (default behavior): The PowerReviews Integration will show a "processing" status until the PowerReviews deletion is complete.

  1. Select Configure Integration.

If you are unable to successfully connect the integration, review these common troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Required Permissions Are Granted on API Keys/Resources

DataGrail checks required permissions and scopes on API keys/resources used by each integration. If all necessary permissions are not granted, new connections will fail.

Review Required Account Types and User Roles

If users do not have the necessary permissions or the minimum required user role in the connecting system, the connection to DataGrail will fail. Additionally, connections will fail if your account type does not match the one required by the integration.
