Integrating Salesforce Interaction Studio

DataGrail’s Salesforce Interaction Studio Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in Salesforce Interaction Studio for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in Salesforce Interaction Studio for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

If you do not have admin rights in Salesforce Interaction Studio you will not be able to complete this integration, please contact your Salesforce Interaction Studio Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Collect Salesforce Interaction Studio API Key

  1. Use this manual to obtain your API Key ID and API Key Secret.
  2. Collect your Account and DataSet, contact support if necessary.

Step 2: Salesforce Interaction Studio

  1. Return to DataGrail

  2. Click Connect within the Integration page for Salesforce Interaction Studio.

  3. Enter API Key ID, API Key Secret, Account, DataSet obtained from Step 1 and select the proper region from list.

  4. Optionally, select Outbound Deletion to configure deletion through the outbound process:

    1. Add Processor Email. This is the email that will receive the privacy request.
    2. Optionally, add additional information to help the processor validate the privacy request:
      1. Account ID: your Account ID in the system
      2. Account Name: your Account Name in the system
      3. Notes: any notes that you'd like to send to the processor regarding the privacy request
  5. Click Connect. You should get a success message if the connection is successfully granted.

  6. If there are additional Salesforce Interaction Studio accounts to integrate follow these instructions:

    1. Click Edit Connection within the Integration page for Salesforce Interaction Studio.

    2. From the drop-down, select +Add New Connection.

    3. Under Connection Name, enter a new name to identify this separate account (ex: Salesforce Interaction Studio Training Account).

    4. Repeat Step 1 to get an API Key for this new account.

    5. Enter API Key.

    6. Optionally, select Outbound Deletion to configure deletion through the outbound process.

    7. Click Connect.

  7. In DataGrail, if you have any other integrations not connected (no green check mark) please click Connect to complete the configuration and reference the Help Docs link for instructions
