Integrating TextMagic

DataGrail’s TextMagic Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in TextMagic for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in TextMagic for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

**Note: if you do not have admin rights in TextMagic you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your TextMagic Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Create a TextMagic API Key​

  1. Log in to TextMagic
  2. On side navigation, click Services > API
  3. Click the + Add new API key button
  4. In the popup modal, enter DataGrail for the Your app name field.
  5. Temporarily copy the newly created API Key and Username values in a secure location

Step 2: Connect TextMagic​

  1. Return to DataGrail (window should be open in separate tab)
  2. Enter the API Key and Username obtained from Step 1
  3. Enter the set of comma-separated lists in Step 1.6 above. For example: list one, another list, etc image
  4. Click Connect TextMagic
