Integrating Twilio Sendgrid
DataGrail’s SendGrid Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:
- Identify Data Subject PII stored in Twilio SendGrid for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
- Delete Data Subject PII stored in Twilio SendGrid for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
If you do not have admin rights in Twilio SendGrid you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your SendGrid Admin for assistance.
Step 1: Create a Twilio SendGrid API Key

Log in to SendGrid with your admin account.

In the left-hand menu, select Settings and click API Keys.

In the top-right, click Create API Key

Set API Key name (e.g. DataGrail) and select Restricted Access.

Enable access for Recipients Data Erasure only.
The rest of the permissions have been hidden for convenience and do not need to be modified from the default setting (no access).

Click Create & View.

Copy your API Key and store it temporarily to a safe location.
Step 2: Connect Twilio SendGrid

Log in to DataGrail.

Click the Configure New Integration within the Integration page and search for Twilio Sendgrid.

Click the Configure button.

Enter integration name (e.g. Twilio Sendgrid).

Enable required capabilities. See Connecting Integrations to DataGrail

Optionally, enable Direct Contact for access and fill the Direct Contact Settings form to configure the Direct Contact process: See Direct Contact Integration Explained

Enter the API Key obtained from Step 1.

Click the Configure Integration button.

If you have additional Twilio Sendgrid accounts to integrate, repeat the steps above.

In DataGrail, if you have any other integrations not connected please click Connect to complete the configuration and reference the View Connection Instructions link for instructions
