Integrating Xplenty

DataGrail’s Xplenty Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in Xplenty for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in Xplenty for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Scan Xplenty for additional business systems used across your organization.

**Note: if you do not have admin rights in Xplenty you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your Xplenty Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Get Xplenty API Credentials

  1. Log in to Xplenty Dashboard with your account.

  2. Go to the Access tokens through the Developer Settings.

  3. Enter your account password and click on the Reveal API key button to create a new API key, or reveal an existing one.

  4. Copy your API Key.

  5. Go to the Profile through the Account Settings.

  6. Copy your Account ID.

Step 2: Connect Xplenty

  1. Return to DataGrail (window should be open in a separate tab).

  2. Click Connect within the Integration page for Xplenty.

  3. Enter API Key and Account ID obtained from Step 1.

  4. Click Connect Xplenty.

  5. If there are additional Xplenty accounts to integrate follow these instructions:

    1. Click Edit Connection within the Integration page for Xplenty.

    2. From the drop-down, select +Add New Connection.

    3. Under Connection Name, enter a new name to identify this separate account (ex: Xplenty Training Account).

    4. Repeat Step 1 to copy API Key and Account ID for this new account.

    5. Enter API Key and Account ID.

    6. Click Connect.

  6. In DataGrail, if you have any other integrations not connected (no green check mark) please click Connect to complete the configuration and reference the Help Docs link for instructions
