Integrating Zoho Books

DataGrail’s Zoho Books Integration provides data mapping and privacy request functionality allowing your business to do the following:

  • Identify Data Subject PII stored in Zoho Books for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.
  • Delete Data Subject PII stored in Zoho Books for automatic fulfillment of privacy requests.

**Note: if you do not have admin rights in Zoho Books you will not be able to complete this integration. Please contact your Zoho Books Admin for assistance.

Step 1: Configure Zoho Books API Client

  1. Log in to Zoho Books Dashboard with your account.

  2. Click on My Organizations -> Manage in the top-right corner.

  3. Copy your Organization ID.

  4. Go to Zoho API Console.

  5. Click on CREATE NOW to create a new Server-based Application.

  6. Configure your client with the following parameters:

    1. Client Type: Server-based Application
    2. Client Name: DataGrail
    3. Homepage URL: https://datagrail.io
    4. Authorized Redirect URIs: https://datagrail.io/oauth/zoho_books
  7. Copy your Client ID and Client Secret.

  8. Optionally, you can enable Multi-DC support if you wish to connect all your data centers under the same credentials. If you do not wish to do that, you will have to connect each data center as a separate connection in DataGrail.

Step 2: Connect Zoho Books

  1. Return to DataGrail (window should be open in a separate tab).

  2. Click Connect within the Integration page for Zoho Books.

  3. Enter Organization ID, Client ID and Client Secret obtained from Step 1.

  4. Select your Data Center. If you selected Multi-DC in Step 1, please select United States.

  5. Click Connect Zoho Books.

  6. After granting permission to DataGrail application, you will be redirected back to DataGrail.

  7. If there are additional Zoho Books accounts to integrate follow these instructions:

    1. Click Edit Connection within the Integration page for Zoho Books.

    2. From the drop-down, select +Add New Connection.

    3. Under Connection Name, enter a new name to identify this separate account (ex: Zoho Books Training Account).

    4. Repeat Step 1 to copy Organization ID, Client ID and Client Secret for this new account.

    5. Enter Organization ID, Client ID and Client Secret obtained from Step 1.

    6. Select Data Center.

    7. Click Connect.

  8. In DataGrail, if you have any other integrations not connected (no green check mark) please click Connect to complete the configuration and reference the Help Docs link for instructions
