Integrating Zuora

Capabilities

DataGrail's Zuora integration provides the following capabilities:

Before You Start

To successfully configure this integration, please ensure you have sufficient privileges:

  • DataGrail User Role: Super Admin, Connections Manager
  • Zuora User Role: Admin

Create an OAuth Client

  1. Log in to the Zuora Tenant UI.
  2. Navigate to Administration and then Manage Users.
  3. Create or locate a Zuora user for the DataGrail connection. The user's status must be active. We recommend using a service account.
  4. Under OAuth Clients, enter a name and description.
  5. If Multi-entity functionality is enabled, select which entities the client can access.
  6. Select Create.
  7. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
  8. If configuring the integration for deletion, enable the Billing Role.
(Optional) Deletion Configuration
  1. In the top right, under Settings, navigate to Administration.
  2. Select Manage User Roles.
  3. Select Billing in the View Role List dropdown and select View.
  4. Select Edit next to Billing Permissions.
  5. Enable Scrub Sensitive Data of Contact.

Identify Zuora Data Center

  1. Using the URL of the Zuora Tenant UI, identify the Data Center:

Connect to DataGrail

  1. In DataGrail, navigate to Integrations and select Configure New Integration to search for Zuora.
  2. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Data Center.
  3. Select your Zuora Environment.
  4. Select Configure Integration.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to successfully connect the integration, review these common troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Required Permissions Are Granted on API Keys/Resources

DataGrail checks required permissions and scopes on API keys/resources used by each integration. If all necessary permissions are not granted, new connections will fail.

Review Required Account Types and User Roles

If users do not have the necessary permissions or the minimum required user role in the connecting system, the connection to DataGrail will fail. Additionally, connections will fail if your account type does not match the one required by the integration.

The Zuora integration uses the V1 API:
