Removing Integrations
If an Integration is no longer utilized by your organization, it is best practice to remove it from DataGrail, so it does not impact your Privacy Requests.
Impact of Removing an Integration
When an Integration is removed from DataGrail, all credentials associated with this connection will be destroyed and the connection will no longer appear in the Integrations tab.
Request Manager
Removing an Integration will automatically remove it from all active Privacy and Opt Out Requests, allowing them to move forward if the Integration was incomplete.
The Integration will still appear on closed Privacy Requests for your record-keeping purposes.
It may take up to an hour to remove an integration depending on your volume of Privacy Requests.
Consent
If an Integration with the Consent capability is removed, you will be unable to publish to any connected containers. However, removing the integration will not remove DataGrail from websites/containers where Consent is already deployed.
Live Data Map
If an Integration with the System Detection capability is removed, all systems surfaced from this integration will remain in your inventory. New systems will not be surfaced from this integration, once it is removed.
Data Discovery
Removing an Integration with the Data Discovery capability will prevent DataGrail from scanning and classifying further data from the system. Data Discovery results will not be removed from your account.
Removing an Integration
Any Super Admin user in DataGrail can remove an Integration:
- Navigate to the Integrations page in the left-hand menu of DataGrail.
- Locate and select the Integration you would like to remove.
- Select Edit Integration in the top right.
- Select Remove Connection and optionally enter a Reason for Removal, which will be included in the email notification to Super Admin and Connections Manager users once the connection is removed.
Integrations actively used as a Transactional Mailer, Cloud Storage Solution, or Smart Verification System of Record cannot be removed from within the app. Please contact support@datagrail.io if an Integration with any of these capabilities needs to be removed or changed.
