Purging Data from Cloud Storage

To purge the privacy request data results that are stored your Cloud Storage Solution, the admin of that Solution can set the auto-delete to a specified time range. Typically, our customers set this range at 30, 60, or 90-day frames.

  • Regarding the retention of back-up copies in AWS, data is only retained in S3 Buckets after a delete if Versioning is enabled.
  • Versioning is not a default setting, and it's easy to check in the UI if it is enabled.

In the AWS Console go to >> S3 Service >> chose bucket: customername-datagrail-reports >> Properties tab >> in the upper left confirm if Versioning is enabled on the card
